KANNUR: In a significant outreach effort during his Kerala tour, BJP National President Nitin Nabin met with the families of party 'balidanis' (martyrs) in Kannur. Demonstrating the party's solidarity, Nabin spent time comforting the family members and joined them for lunch, sending a clear message that the organization stands firmly behind those who sacrificed their lives for the movement.

Immediately following his first public engagement in the district, Nabin headed directly to the homes of these families. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the party workers in Kannur would not go in vain and assured them that the organization continues to hold them in the highest regard. Party leaders noted that the visit underscores the immense importance the national leadership places on the struggles of workers in this region.

High-Voltage Campaign for Kerala Assembly Elections

The visit comes as the state gears up for the 2026 Kerala Assembly Elections. Nitin Nabin led a massive roadshow in Mattannur to support the NDA candidate, drawing hundreds of supporters. The procession, which moved through Thalassery Road, created a wave of momentum in the constituency.

During his interaction with the media, the BJP President expressed strong confidence in a political shift in Kerala:

-

Vote Share Surge: Nabin highlighted that the BJP's vote share in the state has grown from a mere 2% to nearly 20% in recent years.

-

A Viable Alternative: He stated that the blooming of the Lotus would provide Kerala's citizens with a necessary alternative to the traditional political landscape.

-

Ending LDF-UDF Collusion: He accused the LDF and UDF of a long-standing political understanding and predicted that an NDA-led government would come to power this time.

Outreach and Energy

Addressing concerns of the minority communities, Nabin clarified that only those involved in anti-national activities need to fear the party. Following the events in Mattannur, he traveled to Panur to lead another roadshow for Kuthuparamba candidate Shijilal.

Local party workers expressed that the National President's direct involvement has provided a massive boost to their morale. His presence in strongholds like Mattannur and Kuthuparamba is seen by political analysts as a strategic move to challenge the Left’s dominance in Northern Kerala. Nabin is scheduled to return to Delhi today following the conclusion of his roadshows and family meetings.
